Retirement, Certification and Season's Greetings from BaltShip

Retirement

At the age of 69 our Quality Manager, Ove Sondergaard, has chosen to retire after 51 years of work.

We have had the pleasure of working with Ove Sondergaard since 2007 when he came to us after more than 4 decades in the shipping business. During his 3 years at BaltShip he has used his extensive knowledge on quality, environment, health and safety to develop our corporate responsibility programme.

Mr. Sondergaard's responsibilities will be taken over by Mrs. Tove Nicolaisen (legal matters) and Ms. Kirsten Sondergaard (HSEQ).

2010: A Year of Challenges, Optimism and Innovation

2010 is coming to an end. For us it has been a challenging and exciting year with new sales initiatives and improved hope for a better global economi. Exhibitions have shown that the wind sector is looking ahead with an optimistic and innovative approach and we have seen promising new initiatives and great interest for our professional services.

Our offshore department has been very busy handling lots of important and interesting projects. Believing that this is just the beginning of a fast growing offshore industry and in order to strengthen our position as a leading provider of offshore logistics services, we opened yet another sales office in Lindoe in the fall. At the same time, we divided our project department into three focus sales areas: Wind, Offshore and Industry – all of them very well trimmed to handle your projects in years to come.

Especially the latter, Industry, is a new focus area of ours – still staffed by some of our very experienced “old” employees, though.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and look forward to servicing you in 2011.
