State of Green
Join the Future. Think Denmark

21-24 November 2011 BaltShip joined the Danish business delegation of 50 leading Danish companies in Sydney and Melbourne to promote Denmark and Danish businesses in Australia. The delegation was headed by HRH the Crown Prince and HRH the Crown Princess of Denmark.

Through conferences, seminars and events, focus was on Smart Cities, Renewable Energy and Food & Food Technology.

It was with great pride that BaltShip could welcome HRH the Crown Prince and HRH the Crown Princess at our booth in Sydney.

The visit by the business delegation has been designed under a new concept which creates synergy between the arts and business thereby drawing an image of Denmark as a country with a holistic approach to global challenges.

The event proved to be very successful, and it was a great opportunity to create new and interesting business relations.

European Offshore Wind 2011

29 November - 1 December 2011 visitors will be able to meet the key players in offshore wind power from Europe, North America and Asia at the European Offshore Wind 2011.

European Offshore Wind represents an opportunity to discover the latest industry best practices, create new business opportunities with global contacts and network with international leaders.

We look forward to meeting you at the exhibition in Amsterdam, booth number 10210.

Konsensus

At BaltShip we are used to heavy burdens. And in this case, we will gladly help to lift the weight with others. We have chosen to support the cause of saving the Asian elephant, which is highly at risk of being exterminated.

In the last 100 years, the numbers of elephants have fallen with 90%. There are less than 35,000 Asian elephants left in the whole of Asia. In association with the NGO The Asian Elephant Foundation, the funds raised by the Elephant Parade are used to protect the elephants.

Konsensus is created by Kvindesmedien (the Women's Smithy) at Christiania and is one of the 102 art-elephants from the Elephant Parade Copenhagen 2011.

The art-elephant is placed in BaltShip's lobby in Aarhus, Denmark.

Baltship (China)

In order to support our continued growth in China, we have the pleasure of welcoming Daniel Mørk Kjær to BaltShip (China) in January 2012.

Daniel currently works as a project manager in our HQ in Denmark. The key focus of his new position is, in joint effort with the current team, to increase the focus on the local manufactures in terms of sales and operation as well as continue our focus on CSR and ISO certification.

Furthermore, Daniel will continue the bridge-building between Danish and Chinese business culture and ensure that the many years of experience and high quality achieve in the Danish organization is continuously transferred to our fast growing organization in China.

BaltShip (China) is in the pleasant situation that we have been able to take over the lease of our neighbour office in Diyang Plaze (迪阳大厦) in order to be able to  accommodate the continued growth and expansion of the Beijing office.

China Wind Power 2011

19-21 October 2011 the China Wind Power Exhibition 2011 was held in Beijing in the China International Exhibition Center (中国国际展览中心(新馆)). Since the first exhibition in 2008, CWP has been through a rapid development and has become one of the top three wind power exhibitions in the world. This year companies from more than 20 countries, including 6 national pavilions, were presented at the exhibition.

Also this year, BaltShip (China) was represented via our own booth and manned by staff from our Beijing office. During the exhibition we met manufacturers from all over the world and introduced our services to both international and local wind turbine manufacturers.

The Danish Export Ambassador to China, Ritt Bjerregaard, visited the BaltShip booth, and we had a nice conversation. We introduced our services to her and talked about doing business in China as a Danish company.

All in all, the CWP 2011 exhibition was a good opportunity to meet wind power companies from all over the world. We look forward to the continued development in the wind market and the upcoming challenges.

Visit from China

Our colleagues from BaltShip (China), Mickie Gao and Alan Chen, visited our Aarhus office in September and November.

To improve skills and procedures, our employees will have the opportunity to take part in workshops in Denmark and China. The joint forces also increase the employees’ understanding of the Chinese and Danish culture. These efforts support our ambition to arrange innovative transport solutions and ensure that the right decisions are made in respect of the specific task.

At BaltShip we believe that local presence is the best way to be part of the development in China and that sharing professional knowledge and cultural heritage is the basis of our future.

Our internal people-to-people programme gives our employees the opportunity to share expertise and know-how and ensures the implementation of our quality management system and CSR management systems at BaltShip (China).
